Slightly Spicy Tomato Sauce

July 1, 2020

Image of pasta with slightly spicy tomato sauce. Shelter-in-place orders are lifting in the Bay Area, but I’m bracing for a resurgence of COVID-19 cases. That means I’ll be sticking to my current grocery shopping and cooking routine.

In other words, you can expect to see more quick and easy recipes, like this slightly spicy tomato sauce, here on the blog. I think it’s a smart strategy, as they require minimal ingredients and effort.

Rest assured, I won’t be sacrificing flavor for convenience. For example, slightly spicy tomato sauce is delicious and versatile. You can:

  • Toss it with pasta and finish the dish with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese
  • Spread it over pizza dough, layer on toppings and bake the pie until golden and crisp
  • Use it as a bed for eggplant meatballs

There are plenty of reasons to add slightly spicy tomato sauce to your repertoire! Are you convinced?
