Hooray for warmer weather and obligation-free, three-day weekends! Oh, and it’s Valentine’s Day! What’s not to love? Nothing, I say, especially since I get extra time to mess around in the kitchen and test new recipes….

Today, Rookie, our 6-year old yorkie, went to the vet to get her teeth cleaned for the second time. We kept putting off the appointment because (1) it’s scary having her put under anesthesia (she’s only 3.5 pounds) and (2) it’s pretty pricey. But knowing a deep dental cleaning could help prevent future health problems, we finally made the call….

It’s been just over a year since I debuted 2 of Kind on Facebook, a page I created for all the food photos monopolizing my personal account. It was also my lazy attempt at blogging. Why set up a full-fledged blog if I could build and maintain a Facebook “flog” in a few clicks? Facebook was also my preferred social network at the time – it was where I went to see what my friends and favorite brands and bloggers were up to….
